Things to consider when shopping for second-hand dresses

It's no wonder that buying Simple 2nd Wedding Dresses is on the rise as we all become more eco-conscious. Once reserved for those who had the stamina to rummage about at flea markets and antique stores, thanks to the likes of The RealReal, Vestiaire Group, and Gen-Z favorite, Depop, shopping pre-loved clothing officially entered the mainstream.

In fact, the pandemic has only increased resale popularity, with more individuals taking time to clear their wardrobes and think about their purchases more carefully.

Research on the best pieces

Investing in classic wardrobe classics is a good bet if you're new to the second-hand world. "It's good to start with timeless pieces because they don't lose value, adding that your eco-credentials will also be boosted. Whether you're looking for an old Céline or a vintage Chanel Medallion bag à la Bella Hadid, nothing beats the joy of finally being able to get hold of that designer piece you bookmarked long, long ago. "The idea is to prolong the life of your wardrobe-the better quality it is, the longer you'll keep it.

Clothes aren't made the way they once were. You can if you haven't watched the True Cost documentary. Our simple 2nd Wedding Dresses shops are flooded with badly made garments that don't last.

It is way cooler to buy secondhand. Which is awesome!! But, it also means that finding trendy pieces isn't as easy.

Deals are more difficult to come by. Many thrift stores are beginning to mark-up the labels of designers. It's still not as good of an offer as it used to be, even though it's still cheaper than buying first hand.

Get comfy

I am a woman on a mission while I'm shopping. I've never been the sort of girl who wanted to go and visit the mall. I like shopping and trying to do it very successfully.

Slip-on shoes with socks, that means. Yeah, I look like a complete geek, but trying on shoes and clothes in the dressing room is SO much easier. I don't like having my bare feet on the floor of the dressing room. It's grossing me out.

Usually, I also wear a dress that pulls on and off quickly. I can be in and out of the dressing room this way in a flash.
